A $500K Fantasy Event Film Built in Texas — Designed to Punch Above Its Weight

Chronicles of a Broken Path isn’t just a fantasy feature — it’s a scalable entertainment property engineered to deliver outsized production value, audience engagement, and long-tail revenue at a micro-budget.

At a $500,000 price point, very few projects can credibly combine cinematic fantasy, practical action, live experiential marketing, and built-in audience pipelines. This one can — and that’s by design.  What if I told you the Grass Fed Steak was actually cheaper than Grain Fed? That’s what Chronicles is.

This project is structured to offset costs early, activate non-traditional marketing, and build the foundation for a cult-driven franchise with strong ancillary upside. Think feature film meets live spectacle meets tabletop fandom — all rooted in Texas, where production dollars stretch further and partnerships go deeper.  That’s our unfair advantage.

The Action Advantage

This team brings decades of hands-on experience in action filmmaking, compressed-crew productions, and stunt-driven storytelling. Our background allows us to safely and efficiently execute:

  • Weapon combat

  • Wire work

  • Practical effects

  • Stylized VFX integration

  • Period costuming and armor

Because these capabilities are in-house and locally sourced, we can achieve on-screen scope typically reserved for projects 5–10x this budget. The result: a grounded, physical fantasy world that looks expensive, visceral, and cinematic — without paying blockbuster rates to get there.

Built-In Ancillary IP: The Chronicles Board Game

We are already in development with an experienced tabletop creator to bring Chronicles of a Broken Path into the tabletop space.

  • Phase One: A board game for Kickstarter backers, designed to activate the fanbase and fund early momentum

  • Phase Two: A deeper board/card game experience inspired by Arkham Horror and Magic: The Gathering

This taps into a large, passionate, and proven niche audience — one that already overlaps heavily with fantasy film fans. Long-term, this positions the property naturally for digital adaptations and video game expansion.

Exclusive Texas Partnerships (That Money Can’t Buy)

Texas isn’t just our production base — it’s a strategic advantage.

We are actively partnering with private, underused, and visually striking Texas locations that function as both filming environments and promotional partners. In exchange for social media visibility and production assets, these locations are offering deeply discounted access, dramatically reducing our overhead while expanding our marketing reach.

On top of that, Central Texas is home to three of the most prestigious Renaissance Faires in the U.S., drawing a combined 700,000–850,000 patrons annually — a near-perfect overlap with our target audience.

  • Scarborough Faire alone accounts for roughly 200,000 attendees per year

  • Ongoing discussions include exclusive sponsorship opportunities, integrated promotions, and access to pre-built fantasy locations at minimal cost

We also have access to Capernaum Studios — known for productions like The Mandalorian and The Chosen — a rare, indie-friendly studio environment capable of elevating production value without inflating the budget.

Why This Project Wins

  • $500K budget with $2–5M on-screen feel

  • Built-in audiences through fairs, tabletop gaming, and live events

  • Non-traditional marketing via live stunt shows and stage performances

  • Ancillary products that activate revenue before and after release

  • A Texas-based ecosystem that reduces cost while increasing reach

This is not a speculative fantasy film hoping to be discovered.
It’s a designed-for-impact entertainment engine with viral potential, cult longevity, and a production plan grounded in real-world execution.

Very few projects can do all of this — at this price point.

The Action!

  • We have an extensive decades long history in action production and compressed crew productions. Due to this experience and deep local network this team has the ability to do weapon combat, wire work, practical effects, vfx and costuming at a level far above the budget desired for this film.  Due to these factors we can increase production value on screen by almost an order of magnitude.

Chronicles Board Game

  • We are working with a table top game creator who has turned this into a board game for our kickstarter marketing campaign contributors. We are in pre-production on a more advanced board/card game similar to Magic: The Gathering and H.P. Lovecrafts Arkham Horror. This a huge and active niche audience and sets us up to move into the video game space in the future as well.

Exclusive Partnerships

  • We are working alongside many private, new and underused locations in Texas. Chronicles of a Broken Path will be as much an advertisement for them as it is a location for our production. Because of this they are offering us these spaces extremely discounted in exchange for social media shout outs and usable production footage. This is a win win for us.
  • We have 3 of the most prestigious renaissance faires in the United States located here in Central Texas. They see approximately a combined 700-850k patrons a year. This is a large part of our target market. Capernaum Studios (Mandalorian, The Chosen) is also readily available and indie friendly.

  • Scarborough Faire, with whom we are discussing an exclusive sponsorship is very well respected and responsible for 200k of those patrons. This would be a tremendous boon to our advertising activities as well as provide us with mutiple low costs and pre built locations.
